For a better resilience of French territories

Given the instability of the climate and our limited resources, it is now essential to rethink our models and transform our territories.

Le Think Tank « The Shift Project » propose un nouveau rapport qui fait partie des 20 communs sélectionnés par l’ADEME lors de la première édition de son appel à communs lancé sur le sujet systémique de la résilience des territoires (rapport complet). 

This book is part of the Shift Project and its partners' campaign aimed at elected officials and decision-makers in French territories. It selects and illustrates, based on a number of local examples, infographics and drawings, the challenges and transformations to be achieved for six types of territories such as Cities, Countryside, Metropolises, Mountain, Coastal, and Overseas. It proposes approaches adapted to the new issues. It argues for the exemplarity of territorial administrations and finally proposes a typical path in 3 steps to turn around before the end of the mandate (2026):

1. Understand: take the time to understand and share the issues;
2. Mobilize: build a new desirable, sober and resilient "territory project";
3. Reorient: align all of its action with the new vision and its goals of resilience and ecological transition.

At Phébé, we are very attentive to these new ways of orientation proposed by the Shift. Through our consulting activities, we regularly work with elected officials and decision makers in our territories. Raising their awareness and encouraging them to launch transformation projects is an excellent way to anticipate the stakes and to offer our fellow citizens a more desirable future.
