The plan to transform the French economy and finance

In this context of presidential elections, it is not surprising to note the incompetence or even the ignorance of some politicians on this subject. As a simple citizen, it seems urgent to me to question our power and our capacity to make things change individually and collectively.

Launched in March 2020 by the Shift Project (Think Tank), the PTEF or Plan for the Transformation of the French Economy has become a vast operational program to take us towards carbon neutrality, sector by sector. 

The financial sector in particular attracts my attention because it allows the vascularization of the real economy and proposes to anticipate and plan the decarbonization of our society. The other sectors are not without value because the problem remains above all holistic and systemic. These are topics that we will be able to discuss in other articles to come.

The Shift Project is therefore exploring many avenues and levers capable of moving us towards this energy transition (PTEF: Finance Sector). Here are some of them 

• Re-emerging the role of the state as a legitimate actor

• Helping communities coordinate to leverage funding

• Better incentives for VSEs/SMEs with appropriate instruments

• Directing personal savings and spending towards the transition, while supporting the most vulnerable

The last points converge through our consulting, financing and investment activities. We are thus acting in coherence with the ideas and proposals of the Shift Project.

The influx of liquidity on the financial markets and on savings in France is considerable. Faced with this financial reality, it has become appropriate to propose innovative exchanges capable of supporting the financing and investment of the real economy in an ethical and responsible manner. By directing these investments in this direction, we reinvent and offer the real economy a while giving meaning to our actions as an investor.
